This spindle is an experimental blend between a Russian style spindle and a phang.
It features the elongated belly of a phang, but shorter, and the center of balance is lower, like you would find on a Russian. The result is a spindle that is faster than a phang, and that gains momentuum as you fill it with thread.
A vine is wood burned on its belly, with the leaves painted in gold.
