Mermaid Spindle - Teal and Aura Quartz - First Prototype
This is a spindle inspired by Russian style spindles, made from Beech wood. It features a little extra bump on the shaft that works as secondary whorl, for better speed.
This is the first prototype I made for the Mermaid serie. You will notice it is bigger and heavier than the final version of the mermaids. This one is similar to my Spirit Bird spindles, size wise.
Wood burned scales on it, framing an Aura Quartz gemstone, it is painted with special paints that have a glittery, shiny effect. Sadly the camera can’t capture them much, but wait to see it in the sunlight!
