Wrist Distaff
A wrist-hung distaff to help you while spinning.
Used on your off-hand, a wrist-hung distaff helps to control your fiber while you spin.
Adjustable to just about everyone's wrist size.
A distaff helps to prevent unwanted felting of your prepared fiber, especially in warmer weather. I like to wrap a section of predrafted top around it, or fiber I dizzed off a batt. It’s easier to me than wrapping said fiber around my arm, and then having to unwrap it every time I have to get up and stop spinning for a reason or another.
It’s also great when spinning outside, when a breeze can move your fiber toward your spindle and create a mess!
Made from beech wood, stained in colorful pink-red-green-blue, with a satin finish. Hangs from a faux suede string with an alloy bead that allows you to adjust it to your wrist size.
